WorldVenture is people. A
network of partners working together with a shared vision to see
people of all nations transformed by Jesus Christ.
WorldVenture is you. Without your involvement through prayer and
giving and service little could be accomplished.
WorldVenture is a community of more than 500 missionaries working
in more than 65 countries around the globe.
WorldVenture is a committed staff, working from our Headquarters
Office in Colorado and Church Connections Regional Offices across
the United States to facilitate the work of missions and to assist
churches with their worldwide vision.
The WorldVenture community also shares in a 65-year heritage of
mission-minded Christians who have given of themselves to see the
work of Christ advance around the world. The organization has a
history in the Baptist tradition; today our staff and missionaries
come from many evangelical Christian backgrounds.
OUR PURPOSE:
Multiply followers of Jesus Christ
With respect for people and their cultures, we communicate, by word
and deed, the full scope of biblical truth and, especially, the
gospel. We desire to see as many people as possible become
followers of Jesus Christ.
Demonstrate compassion
Following the example of Jesus, we address human suffering and
practical needs everywhere we share the gospel, whether it be
through individual acts of mercy or community-wide programs, such
as development, education and medicine.
Establish reproducing churches
Building His church is central to Jesus' purposes. We strive to
establish local churches that will establish other churches,
resulting in church planting movements.
Equip leaders for the church
We develop leaders who are able to lead churches in contextualizing
and maximizing their church's impact—locally, regionally, and
around the world.
Cultivate international partnerships
We will encourage churches and church movements everywhere to
connect with each other and with other organizations, creating
international networks of cooperation, engaging in the work of
missions "from everywhere to everywhere."
