As missionaries you wonder how your kids are doing, whether they are being influenced negatively by the elements and personalities of your target culture or if they are perhaps negatively influencing others. Of course we always hope and pray that they are positively influencing others and can withstand the ever worsening moral depravity around them. Our prayer is to see them sincerely involved in the "fishing for men" which for them is "fishing for teens," their own peers. Rachael our oldest just finished a one year Bible program at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Hungary and has been there serving for 8 weeks of camp ministries. They have seen many youth come to Christ this summer. She has helped as receptionist, translator for summer volunteers from U.S. churches, with music, and as a volleyball coach in sports camp. Kimberly has used her musical abilities on the violin in a couple of churches this summer. Joel recently helped another mission engaged in assisting a public school day camp program. While the other mission's seasoned adult missionary was away Joel was asked to interpret and explain games for their newer missionaries who don't know much Hungarian. These have been a few of the blessings for Mom and Dad in the summer of 2009.
