Yes! Not only His plans but also a way to learn about a persons true gifting and passion. Sometimes people are surprised by what they learn about themselves. I never believed I could be a missionary. Way outside of what I thought i was capable of doing. It took a short term trip to give me the courage to take the next steps.

Love hearing this type of calling...So doing Short Term trips was a tool God used to reveal his plans?

I knew that God was calling me to missions in the middle of the bush in central Tanzania. I had spent a month doing ministry with a group of Tanzanian young men. I was standing under a tree out in the middle of nowhere praying the day before I was to fly back to the United States. It was that day when I asked the Lord if I could possibly do this type of work for the rest of my life. I had found my passion and calling in life. He said yes!
